Saints Defeat Falcons 34-14 to Stay in NFL Playoff Contention

Drew Brees passed for 328 paces and
three touchdowns as the New Orleans Saints beat out the Atlanta
Falcons 34-14 last nighttime to remain in contention for a National
Football League playoff spot.

Marques Colston had two touchdown responses at the Georgia
Dome in Capital Of Georgia and Saint David Clog had one for the Saints, who
improved their record to 6-7.

New Orleans is a game behind the Gopher State Vikings (7-6)
for the 2nd of the National Football Conference's two wild
card playoff berths. The American Capital Redskins, Motor City Lions and
Arizona Cardinals are also 6-7 with three games left in the
regular season.

The Saints, who had lost three of their former four
games, have got got the best conference record among the NFC squads that
have 6-7 records. They host Grand Canyon State on Dec. 16.

The Falcons lost their 4th consecutive game to fall to 3-10
on the season. Former third-string signal caller Chris Redman,
making his first NFL start since 2002, passed for 298 paces and
two touchdowns. He also threw one interception and lost a fumble
on a twenty-four hours when Michael Vick, the Falcons' starting quarterback
from 2001-06, was sentenced to 23 calendar months in prison house for plotting
to run an interstate dogfighting ring.
