GRAND prairie — The Thousand Prairie AirHogs minor conference baseball game squad will present a award no 1 will be eager to hard cash in on right away.

Former Astros GM Tim Purpura takes job with minor league baseball

: Former Houston Astros full general director Tim Purpura was appointed executive director frailty president and main operating military officer of minor conference baseball game on Thursday.

Purpura will begin his new occupation in January. He helped Houston range the 2005 World Series before he was fired on Aug. Twenty-Seven along with director Phil Garner.

"Tim have experience in virtually every aspect of baseball game which will heighten our trading operations and complement the talented staff in St. Petersburg. I am thankful to Tim for accepting the challenge," said Pat O'Conner, the newly elected president of the minors.

The organisation was formed in 1901 as the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues.

Purpura lands position with Minor League Baseball

NASHVILLE, TENN. — With the approval of the Astros' organization, former full general director Tim Purpura have accepted a occupation as executive director frailty president of Child League Baseball.

Purpura, who didn't interview for any of the general manager's places that opened this winter, received full championship from Astros proprietor Drayton McLane to seek other employment.

Moreover, his new occupation didn't change his contract position with the Astros.

Although Purpura was fired in August, his Astros' contract runs through 2008.

"He had an apprehension with Drayton, and we wish him well," said Astros president of baseball game trading operations Tal Smith. "I believe it's an ideal role. It have no bearing on his contract (with the Astros)."

Purpura was the Astros' farm director and helper full general manager when he was promoted to gram in November 2004.
